Women’s Gymnastics is a dynamic sport to teach your daughter co-ordination and confidence to develop a high level of flexibility, strength and fitness. It involves the performing of routines using a variety of skills on the four competitive apparatus: the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. The girls use all areas of the gym including trampolines, climbing ropes, bars, beams and a sprung floor.
Competition gymnasts are selected to trial in the first instance from our Recreational classes and if they demonstrate the necessary skills and commitment they will be asked to join the Competition Stream.
Attendance is expected at all training sessions. Makeup classes are not available and no refund will be issued for missed sessions.
Competitions are held at the State Gymnastic Centre at Marion at least 3 times a year, with the opportunity to also participate in country competitions.
For competitions, they will be required to purchase a club leotard, jacket and bag. They will also need black leggings.
